£200,000 cannabis factory discovered at Nelson home

A CANNABIS factory, with an estimated street value of over £200,000, has been discovered at a house in Nelson.

Officers found 500 plants, all different sizes, in the upstairs bedrooms at an address in Every Street around 2 p.m. yesterday.

Equipment including lighting and fans was also seized.

Inquiries continue to find out who was behind the set up.

DI Martin Melvin, from Burnley Police, said: “This was a very sophisticated set up – the plants had clearly been there for some time and were ready to flood the streets of Nelson.
