Ribble Valley Borough Council backing Make a Difference campaign

Ribble Valley Borough Council is backing the national Make a Difference campaign, which aims to celebrate the wide range of roles available for people from all backgrounds and skill levels looking to start a career in local government.

Ribble Valley Council provides essential services that residents rely on every day, such as planning, environmental health, refuse collection and street cleansing.

And the campaign aims to address workforce shortages by attracting new talent into local government, ensuring it can continue to provide the vital services on which communities depend.

Rosie Elms, chairman of the council’s personnel committee, said: “Councils provide a wide range of essential services and offer a great career path, as well as a real sense of achievement and purpose among their workers.
