Emma Motley, 17, of Duke Street in Burnley is currently in the process of crowdfunding to raise money for the upcoming trip, which is being carried out in conjunction with Girlguiding, without whom she ‘wouldn’t be going.’

Girlguiding, a leading UK charity empowering women and girls to be their best, will see Emma travel in July or August next year to improve an Armenian National Camp.

Emma will also complete a community service project, and wants to raise £1,200 for her endeavor.

“I was lucky enough to be chosen to go to Armenia - we are trying to improve Armenia’s camping facilities, so we’re going there with tents and camping for 14 days,” said Emma.

“During these two weeks, we will be doing a community service project to help the way they live. After the two weeks we will be leaving the tents there to bulk there camping resources.”
