Police issue photo after park attack

The incident happened around 1-30pm on Tuesday, September 2nd, in Stubbylee Park, New Line.

A woman is believed to have seen a man kicking his dogs as she made her way through the park.

She confronted him about his behaviour and it is reported he spat in her face and punched her arms several times.

The man is described as white, 5ft. 10in. tall, of medium build with short, black hair. He spoke with an Irish accent.

PC Tony Norman, of Burnley Police, said: “The victim sustained bruising to her arms as a result of this assault and is understandably upset following this incident. I would like people to take a good look at the photo of a man we would like to speak to in connection with our inquiries and anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting LC-20140902-0701.”
