Police investigate Clarets youngster's racist abuse complaint
Ginnelly, 18, currently on loan at Altrincham, reported an alleged racist remark from the Ray Wilkie Stand at Holker Street to a match official, and the complaint has now been passed on to the Football Association, as well as Cumbria Police.
Ginnelly joined Burnley from Shrewsbury Town in the summer, linking up with the Development Squad.

Hide AdHe went out on loan to Alty in January, and has since scored three goals in 10 appearances.
Football intelligence officer for Barrow, PC Craig Barrass, told the North-West Evening Mail: “He (Ginnelly) reported it to the officials so they have reported it to the FA. We take [allegations] seriously as does the club.”
Barrow, on their official twitter account, said: “The club are shocked to hear about this incident and deplore any kind of racist or discriminatory behaviour.”
