During their enquiries, police seized and tested one of the illegal vapes, and confirmed it contained Spice, a highly dangerous and addictive synthetic drug.

Police have expressed concerns about the impact it’s having on young people, with Spice known to cause unpredictable and harmful changes in behaviour, as well as posing significant risks to both physical and mental health.

Parents and carers have been urged to speak with their children about the dangers of using illicit vapes or Vape Oils and to remain vigilant for any changes in behaviour or unusual vaping devices.

The investigation remains ongoing and police have urged those with any information that could aid them in the investigation to come forward by calling 101, or reporting information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or through their website.
