Police charge man with murder
Detectives have charged a man in connection with the death of a Burnley woman last month.
Gary Fletcher (34), of Wilton Street, Burnley, has been charged with the murder of 33-year-old Nicola Haworth whose body was found by police at an address in Wilton Street on Friday, July 22nd.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and a post-mortem examination established the cause of death as asphyxiation.
Fletcher was also charged with child neglect and is due to appear at Burnley Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning (Tuesday, August 9th).
