He is described as 5ft 7in, tall with short blond hair and of slim build.

Officers are asking anyone with information to contact police.

DI Neil Marr from the East Division Offender Management Unit said: “Horsfall should have returned to his bail hostel on Boxing Day and, in failing to do so, he has breached his licence conditions.

“He is known to have connections to the east of the county, so he could be in the Colne, Nelson or Burnley areas.

“I would advise the public not to approach him if they see him but to contact the police.

“I am urging anyone who knows of Horsfall’s whereabouts to contact us and similarly, if he is seeing this appeal himself, I would say to hand yourself into the police rather than evading us and making the situation worse for yourself.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident reference 766 of 27 December 2014.

Alternatively, they can contact Crimestoppers on anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
