This male was also described as Asian and in his late teens, of slim build, wearing dark clothes and between 5ft. 8in. and 6ft. tall. Police believe there was a group of four or five Asian male teenagers in the area at that time.

Sgt Tim Hitchen said: “These are despicable crimes targeting elderly people going about their business and getting on with their daily life. They have been left feeling uncertain for their safety when going out.

“As yet, we do not know whether these snatches were committed to profit from theft or as stupid pranks.

“I would appeal to anybody who has any information on these offences to search their conscience and come forward to the police.”
