Thousands of people turned up to Trawden Recreation Ground this weekend to enjoy an annual village event.

Trawden Agricultural Show took place on Sunday, to continue promoting the importance of rural activities throughout the area.

As well as the show, which included exhibits such as sheep, cattle, rare breeds, goats and working sheepdogs, there were also plenty of attractions for the whole family to enjoy.

Many people took to social networking sites to express their enjoyment of the show, which also included camel racing and the Boulsworth Fell Race.

One Twitter user wrote: “Really enjoyed Trawden show. Gutted couldn’t try out the cakes. And where else can you see camels on a Sunday.”

And another said: “A great day at Trawden Show today, we donned our wellies and slipped into Pendle country to enjoy rural life.”
