PHOTOS: Hospice Heroes raise £20,000

More than 300 youngsters, from toddlers up to 12 year olds, walked, jogged and skipped their way around the three mile circuit.
The family fun event, which was held by the hospice for the first time last year, looks to encourage lots of community spirit, provide fun and laughs and promote exercise for children, while raising funds for the hospice.

Last year the event raised more than £15,000 for the hospice but organisers were confident of passing the £20,000 mark this time around.
Sammi Bracewell, fund-raiser for Pendleside Hospice, said: “It’s been a fantastic event. It’s been a bit cold but fortunately the rain has held off.
“Last year was a big success. We raised more than £15,000 but we’re definitely on for raising for more than £20,000 this year and that’s a brilliant amount.
