Bands in the Park returned to its Ormerod Road home last year for the first time in over a decade and if this second event was anything to go by it won’t be going anywhere for a while.

Music came in the shape of The Hotdog Hobos, Barry Garlow and The Good For Nothins, Bridle City Lights, Dirty Suns, Design Rewind and Furious Styles who entertained crowds from 1pm until close of play.

There were also food stalls, a drinks tent, craft stalls and a fun fair.

Madge Nawaz, who organised the sold out event, said it had been better than 2017 and he was now looking forward to making next year’s even bigger.

“It was a fantastic day. The bands were brilliant and everybody who came along seemed to enjoy themselves.

“We’ll be bringing it back next year, hopefully increasing the capacity and adding a few more attractions.

“I would like to say thank you to everybody who came, everybody who helped out and Burnley Council. It would not be possible without your help.”
