Championed by the Burnley Express, the appeal collects gifts and toys for children, up to the age of 18. Families are referred by social services, health visitors, domestic abuse services, support workers and schools. The generous Burnley public always donate many wonderful gifts and next week a team of volunteer elves will begin the task of sorting all the gifts, ready to be sent out in time for Christmas Eve.
