Once upon a time in Burnley, hundreds of children dressed up as their favourite literary characters for World Book Day.

From Harry Potter and Matilda, to Spider-Man and Willy Wonka, today’s annual celebration of authors, illustrators, books and reading has been bigger and better than ever.
