“The wreath-making workshop was my first fundraising event. Sam was wonderful. She brought all the materials we needed with her and broke the wreath-making process down into four steps. We all managed to create door-worthy wreaths. It was really good fun.”

The funds raised by the event will be carried forward to be put towards a final total donation to be revealed when Carol’s captaincy ends. Carol’s next fundraiser is a coffee morning at the club on Thursday, February 9th. Tickets are on sale now at £3 each inclusive of a hot drink and cake. There will also be an accessories stall, good as new stall, raffle and tombola.

Rosemere Cancer Foundation works to bring world class cancer treatments and services to cancer patients from throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria being treated at Rosemere Cancer Centre, which is the region’s specialist cancer treatment and radiotherapy centre at the Royal PrestonHospital, and also at another eight local hospital cancer units across the two counties. The charity funds cutting-edge equipment, clinical research, staff training and innovative services and initiatives that the NHS cannot afford in order to make patients’ cancer journey more effective, comfortable and stress-free.
