Video: Award winning homegrown DJ choses Padiham's historic Gawthorpe Hall setting as location for music video shoot
and live on Freeview channel 276
And for Nadia the choice was obvious as Padiham is her hometown and she is extremely proud of her roots.
In keeping with the 'local' theme she asked 12-year-old Padiham aspiring actress, dancer and singer Jolie Forrest to appear in the video performing a routine put together by the Burnley based Dynamic Dance Studio where she is a student. And Hapton based film maker Kevin Furber was in charge of the shoot.

The video is for the song Hole In My Heart by UK based writer, composer and producer Jonny Spalding, who asked Nadia to put music to the lyrics.
Due to be released on the day after Valentine's Day on the Koda Recordings label, the track features the vocals of Sharlene Hector, one of the UK's top soul, gospel and blues singers, who has provided vocals in concert for artists as diverse as Boy George and Mary J. Blige. She also spent seven years as a singer with Grammy-award winning Basement Jaxx and has recently worked with top London DJ Riva Starr and Armand van Helden, an American DJ, record producer, remixer and songwriter who is considered one of house music's most revered figures.
Passionate about music, Nadia, like so many other DJs and musicians, sorely misses the buzz of live events and gigs.

And Nadia was keen to produce the video locally as a 'thank you' for everyone who has supported her.
She said: "This is my way of giving something back to the community of Burnley and Padiham and the people who have supported me from the start on my DJing journey."
The one good thing to come out of 2020 for Nadia was achieving the number one spot house release on Beatport an American electronic music-oriented online music store.

"It has motivated me so much and I've been able to produce some incredible music through lockdown and I cannot wait to share it with everyone this year."
A DJ for six years, within two years of stepping up to the decks Nadia had won the prestigious Smirnoff Vodka and Warehouse Project DJ competition and played one of the biggest club nights in the world.
And Nadia shared the stage with one of her heroines, DJ royalty, Hannah Wants. Before winning the competition James Hype gave airtime to her mix, Nadia's Tribute, on Kiss FM while elite DJ, Mario Piu, played her remake of his old dance classic, Communication, at his set in Italy. Her own mixes have also received a lot of airplay on radio station Gaydio.

There have been two Battle Cancer events in Manchester and one in London where over 1,200 competitors took part in CrossFit challenge routines aimed at complete beginners to 'uber' athletes.
Nadia was the DJ for those events and she made such an impression that Pete and his Battle Cancer co founder, Scott Britton, asked her to headline Battle Cancer LA and also Berlin and Madrid.

Hide AdNadia attributes her love of music and her eclectic taste to her mum, Christine Dand, who always had music playing in the house.
One of Nadia's dreams is to play at Beat Herder, a prestigious music festival in the Ribble Valley that attracts thousands of people from across the UK.
A pupil of St John's RC Primary in Padiham and the former St Hilda's RC High schools, Burnley Nadia is a support worker for vulnerable children and young adults.
And it is her great regret that her beloved grandmother, Ann Thompson, did not live to see her most recent success. Ann died in 2018 at the age of 79 and Nadia had spent many years caring for her.
Nadia said: "The video release is close to her birthday so it is like a tribute for her and the wonderful person she was."
