Firefighters extinguished a blaze at a domestic building in Ford Street yesterday evening.

A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the fire and were at the scene for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes."
