Rain failed to dampen the spirit of 200 children who took part in a socially-distanced witch hunt around the grounds of Clitheroe Castle over the weekend.

Armed with a map, the youngsters walked around the castle grounds in search of witch-related objects. Each of these objects had a number on them, which was noted down. Once they returned with their completed sheets, they all received a sweet treat for their efforts.

Organiser of the event, Lucy Greenhalgh, the manager of La Tete et Tout, on Moor Lane, said: "Despite the weather, the Hallowe'en Witch Hunt was a great success. Families came out and braved the wind and rain and all had a great time. Each child received a goody bag, which they were very pleased with. We had around 200 children that took part and raised £200 for mental health charity, Mind."
