A greetings card design competition, held as part of a 'Welcome Home' campaign by Barratt and David Wilson Homes, reached out to Moorland School, which is close to its Waddow Heights on Waddington Road, Clitheroe, for the help of the pupils in designing cards to be handed out to new homebuyers.

Year four students Alexandra and Faith were the winners of the competition and will now see their cards printed and delivered to new residents moving into the development.

Deborah Frost, assistant headteacher at Moorland School, said: “We are delighted to have been involved in the 'Welcome Home' campaign.

"Welcoming families and individuals to our local community is something that is close to the heart of the Moorland School family.

“We are incredibly proud of all of the Moorland students who took part in the competition - some fantastic artwork was produced and both Alexandra and Faith are deserving winners. Well done girls, you should be so proud of yourselves.”
