A resident of Beech Grove Care Home in Clitheroe has celebrated her milestone 101st birthday - her second under lockdown restrictions.

Mrs Eileen Wood, who was born on Easter Saturday April 3rd,1920, also marked her landmark 100th birthday in quarantine last year during the pandemic under Covid-19 restrictions.

A spokesman for Beech Grove said: "Eileen is a remarkable woman. Her 100th birthday was celebrated just a few short weeks after the first Covid lockdown started with family being limited to window visits. This year with only one relative per resident being permitted into the care home due to Covid-19 restrictions, Eileen was visited by a number of family members via window visits again."
