Cleo is an 11-month-old small/medium cross breed. She is struggling to adapt to life in the kennels and needs a special foster home. Nelson came into our care from the stray dog kennels when he was left in there unclaimed. Nelson is approximately eight-years-old and he is 100% deaf. In so many ways, Nelson is a normal Staffie. He’s loving, affectionate and wonderful company but Nelson can not cope with the outside world, he goes into meltdown and screams. This is very common in deaf dogs and this is unlikely to get better and to even try causes him so much anxiety a decision has been made to look for a home with a garden for him to wander in. Nelson is not a high energy boy but would enjoy his own outside area. He’s clean and non-destructive and can be left a few hours as long as you let him know you are leaving. Nelson has been dog-tested and could live with a calm female. He would also be perfectly happy as an only dog. He could live with children over 10 but has not been cat tested.
