Lidl set to open in Padiham

A new Lidl superstore has been planned for Padiham.

The store will be located on land to the north of Wyre Street and Clitheroe Street to the west.

The popular German discount store has distributed leaflets this week to households in the area.

Rumours circulated the town two years ago that another German discount chain Aldi was planned for the town but never materialised.

When built, the new Lidl will be the first superstore built in Padiham since Tesco was opened nearby in 2012.
