A lantern parade will take place on Saturday, October 24th, in Rosegrove.

Residents are invited to make their own lanterns for the parade and they also have light up costumes, hats and even prams. The only proviso is that no naked flames will be allowed.

The parade follows on from a scarecrow festival the residents held last month. Children and adults spent hours making a series of scarecrows featuring a host of characters including Donald Trump, Boris Johnson, Disney characters and superheroes.

Organised by Rosegrove Neighbourhood Watch, a series of events have kept residents entertained during the Covid 19 lockdown including a party to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day and a clap for young people session held at 3pm every Saturday.

Anyone who would like more information about the lantern parade is asked to ring Michael on 07984145141.
