Jordan, who won the hearts of the nation when facing his fears during the popular ITV show, has become a Burnley legend with his 'Happy Place Turf Moor' catchphrase the talk of the town.

And now the Radio 1 DJ, a lifelong Claret, has a billboard dedicated to him in Belvedere Road, close to Turf Moor.

The billboard was organised by Burnley.co.uk and burnley.social, who are asking residents in the town to take their photo with it and share them on social media, tagging both Burnley.co.uk and burnley.social.

The new artwork will be up for a month, giving people plenty of time over Christmas and New Year to visit the Belvedere Road location.

When told about the billboard, Jordan said: “Thank you for this, honestly, it’s amazing. I’m going to try and get home over Christmas, so I’ll definitely be heading down. Thank you for doing this for me.”

Until Jordan can make it back up north, his mum Wendy and brother Ryan headed down to the billboard along with other members of the family, along with Darren Bentley, media manager for Burnley FC and Lisa Pearson, head of income generation for Pendleside Hospice.

Jordan’s mum Wendi said: “If you’d told me 30 years ago that I’d be standing in front of a billboard of Jordan, I’d have fainted. We are so so proud of everything he’s achieved.”

Pendleside Hospice, for whom Jordan is an ambassador, and the Burnley Community Kitchen will receive at least £17,500 each following sales of 'Happy Place' T-shirts

While a recent Instagram Q&A hosted by Jordan raised a further £2,000 for the hospice.
