'Im A Celebrity' star Jordan reunited with his beloved Burnley scarf and has nation in stitches with his hilarious mushroom gaffe

Burnley's Jordan North lifted the spirits of the nation last night with his hilarious mispronunciation of an ingredient campers were given for their evening  meal in TV reality show 'Im A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here."

Viewers, and fellow contestants, roared with laughter at Jordan's mispronuncement of shiitake mushroom which the campers were given to cook with squirrel.

Jordan took the ribbing in good spirit and he was the star of the show yet again after winning 12 stars, which equate to meals for the camp, after he was voted to take part in his fourth trial last night.

'Trap Door' involved him being placed in an underground tunnel to retrieve stars while being covered with thousands of insects including crickets, cockroaches, mealworms and toads.

Jordan, who won the hearts of viewers with his 'happy place, happy place, Turf Moor, Turf Moor' mantra completed last night's challenge by asking presenters Ant and Dec what they had for lunch and telling himself not to panic.

After successfully completing the task Radio One DJ Jordan, who is an ambassador for Pendleside Hospice, said: "There is no better feeling than coming back to camp to tell everyone that I did the trial on my own.

"I feel elated."

Celebrated by his fellow contestants Vernon Kay said that Jordan had come back from the challenge 'a completely different person' and Corrie star Beverley Callard said his parents would be 'so proud."

Burnley fans and the town are rooting for Jordan and yesterday Burnley Football Club unveiled two new custom t-shirts bearing the slogan 'happy place, happy place Turf Moor' with proceeds of sales going to Burnley Community Kitchen and Pendleside Hospice.

Last night Jordan was also seen being reunited with his beloved Burnley scarf, his chosen luxury, that contestants Russell Watson and Ruthie Henshall won for him after successfully completing a series of undercover pranks.

The other contestants also received their luxury items from home which included a poster made by his children for Sir Mo Farah and a hair brush for Bev Callard.

And for the first time since the show began last Sunday viewers did not vote for Jordan to do the next trial.

On hearing the news he punched the air in delight and was jumping for joy.
