The money was raised in just three weeks thanks to sales of two unique t-shirts produced by Burnley Football Club in Jordan's honour.

Bearing the words 'happy place, happy place, Turf Moor,' the mantra Jordan used when faced with a trial during the show, sales of the tops soared as the club pledged to donate the proceeds to Pendleside Hospice, where he is an ambassador, and Burnley Community Kitchen.

And the final total looks set to top £35,000, as the t-shirts are still on sale this week, and the club spokesman revealed a special limited edition version is also being produced.

Jordan (30) was runner up in the show's final on Friday, which saw CBeebies presenter Giovanna Fletcher crowned Queen of the Castle
