Homes left without water after burst pipe in Chatburn
Residents in Chatburn have been left without water this morning after a burst water main on Chatburn Road.
The loss of water was initially reported at 4-39am today and engineers from United Utilities have been working since then to fix the leak.
A spokesman for the firm said: "You may have noticed that your water has gone off or it’s coming out your tap in a trickle. We’ve been out to investigate and found the cause to be a burst water main on Chatburn Road. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, our leakage engineers will be on their way to the site shortly and we hope to have your taps flowing again very soon. "We’ll provide further updates when the team arrives on site."
