A Clitheroe Rotary spokesman said: "It was a great day. The event was organised to raise funds for the East Lancashire Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support and other Rotary-supported charities and it is anticipated that altogether around £6,000 will have been raised.

"Thanks are due to Clitheroe Golf Club, all the golfers, volunteers and the sponsors of the day for their support."
