Firefighters were called out to deal with a small blaze in the open yesterday evening.
The fire was reported at 5-40pm in Nelson's Southfield Lane, near to Marsden Park golf course.
Crews from the town's fire station used a hose reel to extinguish the flames and were at the scene for around 40 minutes.
