Firefighters extinguish ground-floor blaze at Burnley house
An investigation is under way into the cause of a fire at a house in Sharp Street.

Fire crews were called out just after 10pm yesterday to extinguish the blaze on the ground floor of the property.
Three fire engines from Nelson and Burnley tackled the flames. It is believed the house is unoccupied so no one was injured.

Hide AdA spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and two positive ventilation fans to extinguish the fire.
"Firefighters were at the scene for two-and-a-half hours."
