Fire crews tackle early morning Brierfield car blaze
An investigation is under way after firefighters were called to extinguish a car fire in Richard Street.
The fire, which broke out just before 2am, involved the engine compartment of a vehicle which was on the roadway.
A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "Crews quickly extinguished the fire using one breathing apparatus and one hose reel. An investigation into the cause of the fire is now under way."
