Finalists announced in Burnley's Got Talent as competition nears £10,000 target

The final of the competition will be held on Saturday night when the top remaining acts, five who received the most likes and five chosen as 'wildcards' by organisers will be performing for the final time.

Hide AdBut this time the audience will only have 24 hours to vote for their winner who will win a £200 prize and the honour of performing at Burnley Live next year.
Organised by friends Shelly Heap and Justine Lorriman the contest has been a runaway success, attracting 64 acts and 13,000 members on the facebook group.
Aiming to provide some fun and entertainment during lockddown, and raise money for the East Lancashire Health Trust, the total now stands at a magnificent £9,477.

Hide AdBacked by a host of celebrities, including Burnley's own cricketing superstar James Anderson, organisers set up a justgiving page and invited those watching and voting for the acts to make a donation at the same time.
They have been overwhelmed with the response from the public and also several local singers and performers who have staged shows on facebook in the run up to each round.
A number of local businesses have also got on board with sponsorship and the grand final is being sponsored by Saf Cars.

Hide AdThe finalists will be posting videos of their performances on the Burnley's Got Talent facebook page from 8pm this Saturday and voting closes at 8pm the next day.
