Extinction Rebellion supporters stage protest in Clitheroe to demand a fairer future for all after pandemic

Less traffic on the roads, so less pollution and less noise pollution; more birdsong and it’s been much safer to cycle and walk. Many people have made changes in their lifestyle and begun to realise that things can be done differently. At this crucial point, when governments around the word are looking to get back to normal and get the economies on track, others around the world are asking - do we just go back to how things were, business as usual, or can we 'Build Back Better'?


Adam McMeekin, a resident of Waddington, added: “As we start to get back to ‘normal’, it is imperative that we move forwards to rebuild with the Climate Crisis at the front of our minds. There can be no going back. We want to use the opportunity presented to us by this crisis to decide together what our future will look like."
