Crews tackle Ribchester tyre and wood blaze
Firefighters were called yesterday to reports of thick, black smoke near Church Street.

Once at the scene, crews from Blackburn and Longridge found a fire involving tyres and wood panels.
A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "The fire was extinguished using a hose reel and breathing apparatus and with the assistance of farm machinery. Crews were at the scene for approximately two-and-a-half hours."
