Steven Lancaster, the co-founder of the Grand, said: “We have decided to take a proactive approach as the health and wellbeing of our staff and the community is paramount.”

Mr Lancaster added: “All events, classes and projects during this period have either been postponed or cancelled. We will be contacting all ticket holders to advise on rescheduled dates. "Our staff will still be working diligently behind the scenes each day, re-scheduling events and planning for the future.”

The Grand website will be updated regularly and if you have any further enquiries, please contact: [email protected]. The e-mail address will be monitored by the Grand’s events team during the closure and they will respond as swiftly as possible.

“Due to the high number of calls, we would urge our customers to make the Grand’s website their first port of call, and that would help us enormously,” said Mr Lancaster.

“If the website doesn’t answer your question then please e-mail or call us."

New dates for each event will be confirmed within the next few weeks and if it is not possible to attend the re-scheduled one, refunds will be given. All tickets bought for the original date will be valid for the rescheduled date.

Mr Lancaster went on to say: ‘In line with many independent arts venues throughout Britain, we would like to give you the choice to support our charitable work in the Ribble Valley by donating part or the full value of your ticket if you are unable to come to a rescheduled date. The Grand is a charitable organisation that exists for the benefit of the community and any donations received would solely contribute towards the Grand’s charitable work, helping support young people, creative community projects, classes and outreach work at Clitheroe skatepark. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we endeavour to contact all customers to inform them of re-scheduling.
