Lockdown failed to stop the devoted couple from celebrating their milestone anniversary in style. The special day started with visits from family and friends at a safe distance in the garden. Local photographer, Kirsten Platt, who has recently completed a challenge to photograph 100 locals on their doorsteps during lockdown paid the couple a visit to leave them with a memento of their special day.

Raymond and Audrey were asked by their two children to set a romantic table for two in their dining room and members of their family served a three-course meal with bubbly through the garden window. The day was topped off with a virtual magic show over Zoom with all the family led by Leigh from Edge of Magic.

The couple have lived in Clitheroe all their married lives and have two children, four grandchildren and are thrilled to be expecting twin great-grandsons later this year.
