Burnley's sporting heroes to be recognised
Organised by Burnley Leisure, the awards celebrate clubs who create inclusive environments, volunteers who have had a positive impact on increasing participation and young sports people who are exceeding expectations in their field.
Awards are spread across 10 different categories with some new ones added this year.

Hide AdNominations can be submitted for adult volunteer of the year, coach of the year, community club of the year, lifetime achievement, primary and secondary schools of the year, rising star, and young volunteer of the year.
The new categories include community project, active workplace and contribution to women’s participation.
People are encouraged to make nominations by visiting the Burnley Leisure website www.burnleyleisure.co.uk/sportsawards.

All shortlisted nominees will be invited to a prestigious awards ceremony hosted by Olympian champion Sally Gunnell OBE at Burnley Mechanics Theatre on July 6th.
