Burnley traders and customers make a cracking great effort with Easter egg donations
Shopkeepers and customers in Burnley have donated dozens of Easter eggs to make sure as many youngsters as possible receive a chocolate treat.
Members of the Burnley Virtual Local Market facebook group are supporting the scheme run by the Burnley Community Kitchen.
The egg donations will go to 32 schools in the town through the breakfast club scheme.
Donations are being collected by Lucy Whitehall, founder of the virtual market group, or they can be dropped at Cuppa Cakes Ltd in Standish Street.
Lucy said: "The donations will go to the 32 schools in the scheme and any other schools that may need treats.
"We have received a lot of donations so far. Burnley Community Kitchen really do help so many local causes so it's nice to help and know our local children will have treats at Easter."
