This is the largest amount a school has ever raised for the hospice, so staff, students and their families at Holy Trinity Primary are rightfully proud of their fantastic achievement.

Fundraiser Leah Hutchinson told the school of their amazing record when she went along to receive a cheque.

The children, from the Early Years Foundation Stage and years one and two, had lots of fun raising the money in a sponsored bunny hop.

Holy Trinity Primary School in Burnley has raised the most amount of any school, £2,602 to be exact, for Pendeside Hospice.

Sporting bunny ears, the children had to hop around outside for a minimum of 10 minutes.

Headteacher Sally Smith said: "We are so proud of our children and their families for their generosity for this very worthy cause."
