Burnley HAPPA charity calling on animal lovers to join in festive fundraising fun

Burnley equine charity HAPPA is hosting a selection of festive online events in the run-up to Christmas.

From wreath making to the HAPPA Variety Christmas Show, there will be sleighful of activities for all the family to enjoy from the comfort of their home.

‘Mandy’s Wreath Making Masterclass’, presented by HAPPA’s very own head of equine operations Amanda Berry, is running until Monday, December 21st, and is the ideal guide to making a festive wreath for the front door, the garden or as a gift to a loved one.

The digital demonstration can be accessed by donating £5 to the charity through the following link - https://www.happa.org.uk/product/mandys-wreath-making-masterclass/Tomorrow sees the launch of the HAPPA Beginners Guide to Horse and Pony Care Part 1.

Available through an online learning platform, the course is an ideal Christmas gift for any horse or pony enthusiast, aged over seven. Christmas gift vouchers for under the tree are also available for this festive treat.

From November 28th, festive gift packs for sponsoring a HAPPA horse or pony will be available for just £35 (usual price £48) as a Christmas gift with a twist.

There are 14 horses or ponies that are currently completing rehabilitation at Shores Hey Farm on the scheme.

Every sponsor will receive a gift pack containing a cuddly pony, a picture and blog from their chosen animal.

All sponsors receive special updates throughout their chosen equines rehabilitation journey, including a celebratory rosette when their chosen animal is re-homed.

From December 2nd, the HAPPA horses and ponies will be sharing their letters to Santa on social media platforms, and supporters can help their favourites by purchasing gifts from the HAPPA Amazon wish list.

On Sunday, December 6th the charity will be hosting an online tack and equipment auction, with some great last minute gifts and bargains for your canine or equine friend this Christmas.

From December 1st, for a donation, parents will be able to book a special video link call from Father Christmas for their child. For one weekend only Father Christmas has made himself available to HAPPA friends and supporters via the power of digital media to chat with your child or children about their Christmas wishes. Finally, the charity will be hosting an online fundraising event, HAPPA Christmas Variety Show, which will include festive singing and dance performances, a comedian, special appearances from the HAPPA horses and ponies and of course, Father Chrsitmas.

Tickets to receive a link to the show will be available from December 7th to December 17th.
