Burnley dad of two inspired by courage of 'I'm a Celebrity' star Jordan North as he prepares to take part in world's toughest mountain race

Shaun Foxcroft is already in training for the 'Dragon's Back' race in Wales which is billed as the 'world's toughest mountain race.'

Moved by the care and compassion of staff at Pendleside Hospice, who cared for his uncle and grandmother, who both died of pancreatic cancer, Shaun signed up for the challenge before 'I'm a Celebrity' started, but he was thrilled to see the profile of the hospice raised by Jordan who is an ambassador there. He was also impressed by the courage Jordan showed when facing all his fears in a series of trials in the show.

Shaun's partner, Cheryl Jackson has also boosted hospice coffers with the sale of her 'Team Jordan' cupcakes which she whipped up with her team at her newly opened shop, Cuppa Cakes Ltd.

Cheryl said she would donate 50 pence for every cake sold to Pendleside Hospice. As they sold all 120 made £60 was raised but Cheryl decided to match that and the total went up to £120.

Cheryl said: "It's been a tough year for everyone, including Pendleside."
