Burnley Bus Company offers free bus travel for Forces personnel past and present on Remembrance Days
The Burnley Bus Company is to offer free travel to current and former Forces personnel as the nation prepares to remember those who defended our freedom.
The bus firm’s moving gesture will apply on Remembrance Sunday, and on Remembrance Day, with all-day free travel for all current service personnel with forces ID plus veterans in uniform or with their medals on all of the companies’ routes.
The offer applies to all regular bus services run by both operators, including routes serving Blackburn, Burnley, Nelson, Colne, Preston, Manchester, Clitheroe, Rawtenstall, Accrington, Bury, Clitheroe, Skipton and Keighley.
Transdev’s managing director Henri Rohard said: “As many veterans and their families continue to face financial challenges, we want to continue supporting them wherever we can.

“In doing so, we remember those who gave their lives for our freedom, while also supporting those living with the impact of conflict today.
“All our teams are supporting us with this. Together, we will honour the service of Forces personnel past and present.”
