Barrow primary school's harvest donations help fill foodbank shelves

A rural Ribble Valley school is ensuring the shelves of the local foodbank are filled for needy people by donating through their harvest festival collections.

Considerate pupils and staff at Barrow URC Primary School donated a variety of goods including tinned food, pasta, rice, biscuits, cereal and much more to the Ribble Valley Foodbank.

A school spokesman said: "All the parents and children brought in donations instead of their normal harvest festival as we felt the foodbank was in need of our support."
