37 images from charity fun day at The Commercial pub in Burnley's Harle Syke

A community came together in a massive show of support for a Burnley family hit by cancer.

A fun day held at The Commercial pub in Harle Syke raised the grand total of £4,000.

This will be split between Milly’s Smiles charity and the Walsh family. Dad Liam was diagnosed with stage two Non-Hodgkin lymphoma last September. Within six months Liam and his wife Jemma received the devastating news that their youngest daughter, Raenah has acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

Attractions at the fun day included a bouncy castle, visits from a police car and fire engine, pizza, cake and an ice cream van, a raffle and tombola, games, including speed pool, and face painting. Blackburn based Wish Upon A Star Events waived their fee to provide entertainment with a range of mascots and popular Disney characters. Here is a gallery of photos from the day.
