Pennine Lancashire 10k run to return to Burnley in 2014

Organisers have set a date for next summer because this year’s first event in Burnley was a huge success.

1,500 people signed up for the inaugural run in June and organisers, For All Events and Burnley Council, were keen to get another date set in the running calendar.

The 2014 event will be on Sunday, June 22nd, when the 10K route will again pass through three of Burnley’s Green Flag parks and important landmarks such as Turf Moor and Towneley Hall.

Pennine Lancashire 10K Event spokeswoman Emma Griffiths said: “We had a phenomenal debut in Burnley. It felt like the whole town took the event to their hearts.

“The atmosphere on the day was like no other and we knew instantly that we would be holding another Pennine Lancashire 10K next year.”
