Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by van in Nelson

The incident happened at around 6-10am in Marsden Hall Road when the woman, aged in her 40s, was involved in a collision with a Citroen Berlingo.

Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to hospital.

The road was closed for a number of hours while police carried out an investigation, but has since been reopened.
