Park train is back on track for summer

A popular miniature railway, that had to close down when the Christmas floods damaged over half if its track, is now up and running.

Members of the Burnley and Pendle Miniature Railway Society and volunteers from Burnley College, have spent weeks repairing the track for the train at Thompson Park.

The full circuit is now repaired, re-opened and ready for passengers.

The railway opens Saturdays and Sundays until the end of October and on Wednesdays during school holidays.

A teddy bears’ picnic will be held Sunday, July 31st and Sunday, August 28th is Super Hero Sunday. Rides are £1 each.
