Panic buying at Burnley petrol pumps
QUEUES formed this morning as motorists across Burnley rushed to local petrol stations to top up their fuel tanks.
As news of a threatened strike by tanker drivers spread - and Government ministers added fuel to the fire by advising drivers to fill up and even store fuel - queues started to form at the pumps, with supermarket staff at Asda called in to marshall the operation.
