We need more public servants, fewer spivs
I am not a member of any political party but those of your correspondents who blame the European Union for all our woes should link up to one of the LibDem representatives to it.
They will find a lot of good work is going on.
It is at least as much the multi-national financiers who are to blame.
Unfortunately, UK governments have allowed them too much influence and it needs a grouping like the EU to stand up to them.
On its own, the UK has no chance.

Hide AdWe should be a happier nation if there were more tender loving care and less “plc” in our politics.
We need more public servants, police officers, prison staff, medics, Customs and Excise, not, as under the present lot, more spivs and private speculators.
