As president of Trawden Garden Festival and Scarecrow Trail, may I just say a few words of thanks.

Firstly, to all the members of the committee who have worked tirelessly to organise all the events which have gone on this weekend. They have been marvellous.

Secondly, to all who have prepared their gardens and made the scarecrows, which have made beautiful displays of which you can be proud.

Thirdly, to those who have had stalls showing crafts and talents, some of which I have never seen before.

Lastly, but not least, to the kitchen staff, ticket and programme sellers, car park staff and those who helped to set up stalls and tidy up afterwards, and the visitors who came from all over to make it the success it was.

We were also blessed by the weather.

A very, very big thank you to everyone.
